Young people from community groups, third sector organisations and all secondary schools in the county discuss and develop innovative ways of raising awareness of bullying behaviour and oppression within local communities.  The group are encouraged to be active citizens through participation, empowerment and through being heard.  The group meet on a monthly basis to participate in the planning of SAB support services and are provided with opportunities to facilitate group work, as well as undertake peer mentor training.  They are currently working closely with the Welsh Government and ‘Young Wales’, supported by Children in Wales, in the re-writing of the Welsh Governments ‘Respecting Others Guidelines’ on how to deal with bullying for schools.

It is their main objective to change attitudes and address the cause of bullying behaviour and treatment, promoting equality and diversity.  To do this they are developing a network of anti-bullying support for voluntary and community organisations of all sizes providing services to children, young people and families.”
